A Writing Software that Works
I test all the writing software out there. Every program promises to make my writing better, easier, faster, but mostly it gives me a stress headache as I try to squish it to fit my process. Inevitably, I return to my notepad, Microsoft Word, and index cards.
Not so with One Stop for Authors.
The site offered a free, you-don't-even-have-to-enter-a-credit-card, two-week trial, so I sampled their character arc progression tool for Harry, the main character in my WIP (see the photo).
I loved it.
The tool didn't offer me any information I didn't already have, but the simple way it's structured allowed me to access and organize the murky thoughts I'd been swimming through. Fun! It made me excited to write the book. It looks like it’s equally effective for memoir or fiction, and it includes a great writer’s thesaurus. One caveat—I don’t recommend the plotting tool.
Here's a good overview of what the software offers. They have a 25% discount going through February 21, if you decide to sign up.
This isn't a paid promo; I get no kickback. I'm telling you about something that works for me in case it might work for you, too. 🤓
